Meet Monica Noncheva!

Monica has about 11 years in the sport, 14 years working for Skydive Orange. Monica actually started out working manifest and worked her way up the ladder! She has around 5000 skydives and started out as a child who grew up on a dropzone to now holding the highest elected position for our dropzone! She has been a part of several state and world record attempts in different disciplines. In the “real world” she works in Artificial Intelligence with a focus in machine learning.

“When I was younger I used to come to Skydive Orange to visit my aunt who used to skydive all the time. I started my first job working Manifest in the office there before I could even skydive, and once I turned 18 I did my first tandem with Mario! After that I didn’t have plans to become a professional skydiver, but being around the community that has since become family to me, I decided to start my progression to getting my license. Fast forward 11 years and now I get to work alongside some of the same instructors that taught me, including Mario. The family I’ve met at Skydive Orange is my entire world outside of my AI work, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.” – Monica Noncheva
