The temperatures are leveling out, the first few crunchy leaves have fallen, pumpkin spice everything is on the shelves, and peak foliage is right around the corner. It’s fall y’all. And you know what pairs perfectly with awesome autumn views? You guessed it: skydiving!
All in all, we love skydiving in the fall. The changing scenery seems to evoke this slight persistent stirring of excitement. Maybe it’s because it’s a break from the sweltering summer or just because the fall is so pretty. Either way, the fall is one of our favorite times to skydive.
We’re almost willing to bet after reading all the benefits of skydiving in October and skydiving in November, you’ll “fall” for skydiving in autumn! (Get it!?)
While summer often gets the skydiving limelight, many of our customers are dedicated fall jumpers. Here are just a few of the benefits of skydiving in the fall.
It’s true the temperatures at altitude are a good deal cooler during the fall, but that is not always a bad thing. The heat of summer, for some, can be unbearable. We relish the changing temperatures of fall for a chance to enjoy the outdoors without being covered in a slick film of sweat. Skydiving in October is an opportunity to jump when the weather is just right. As the temperatures cool toward November, you may need to add a few extra layers to keep yourself comfortable. We suggest a thin base layer to lock in heat at your core.
Those who skydive in fall enjoy a more relaxed experience. If you want to ditch the crowds, fall is the perfect time to skydive. Because the dropzone is less busy, typically, it means less time spent waiting before your jump, weather permitting of course.
A more consistent lower dew point of the air in the fall means more than just those crisp fall feels. It means better visibility. Greater visibility means the ability to take in even more of those wondrous fall colors. If a fall color palette fits your aesthetic, skydiving in the fall is perfect for you! There is no better time to take in the awe-inspiring autumn aerial sights than on your fall skydive.
Spooky season is upon us as October rolls around. Why not get into the spirit with a costumed skydive!? If you want to give it a try, we are open most Thursday-Sundays for skydiving in October.
While you’ll need to bundle up for skydiving in November to prepare for the cooler temperatures, there is plenty of fun to be had skydiving in late fall. We are open Saturdays and Sundays for skydiving in November.
