In order to get a "B" Skydiving License (not to be confused with
category B in the ISP training program), you need to go through water training.
The idea is to practice getting out of your gear in case you have an emergency
water landing. This is not required to get an "A" License, but if
you intend to go very far in the sport, it is a good idea to take this
opportunity. The biggest motivation for most skydivers to get a "B"
license is that it is required for night jumps.
Check back for other planned live water training times and places.
Please be punctual for the
pre-training lecture -- if you do not attend ALL of the lecture, you may not
participate in the event! I strongly suggest that ALL students and A-license
holders that are seriously into the sport look at participating in this event --
it doesn't happen very often!
What: Water training
Why? B-license requirement and important stuff you should know! Like in
case you want to do a NIGHT
JUMP!
When: To be announced, but if you are interested, email
Ned with "WATER TRAINING" in the subject line.
What to bring: towel, extra change of clothing old tennis shoes (or old shoes you don't mind getting wet), log book to verify event. Optional
items -- gloves and goggles that you regularly wear.
