Skydiving is something I have always wanted to do. I saw a Virginia Tech Demo at the Drill Field, joined the Virginia Tech Skydiving Club and made my first jump. It was the first time I'd ever been in a small plane. I asked my jumpmaster how high we were. He said 300 feet. I couldn't believe it!   I've always had an interest in photography, so naturally, freefall photography and videography stemmed from that. I love going up and bringing down videos - it's instant gratification. The backdrop is unbeatable and you just can't top the subject matter. There are very few people who have the opportunity to do what I do. It's a very specialized form of photography. Skydivers are great people, and I love the sport for the people it attracts. My favorite part of any skydive is the exit - the anticipation that has built to that point. I love the transition of being bound by gravity to becoming unbound. This is my playground!
