Rahlmo's Canopy Skool

A basic interactive, hands-on canopy course offered in group format for anyone with a license and their own gear. If you're a little afraid of your landings, want to begin exploring performance flight, or simply want to improve your current skills and confidence, this is a great way to do it.

What Do You Learn? - We cover flight theory you can use--no boring stuff. You'll learn better landing techniques and how to tell what you did right or wrong to evaluate your own landings. We teach you to manage traffic, including ways to make a simple flight plan before you board.

You'll learn simple methods that will improve your accuracy right away. Plus we offer performance tips to help you get back from long spots and provide you with information to help you understand and handle the dreaded low turn. We'll also evaluate your gear and discuss equipment choices that make sense for you.

Each class starts with an evaluation jump to see where your skills are to start with. Then we follow with video debriefing, a short class and your assignment for the next jump. Each time, you get down, pack, sit in on a brief lecture and go up for an evaluation jump. The class includes five videoed jumps, all tailored to your skill level.

Cost is $250, which includes the coached jumps (hop-and-pops high or low, at the coach's discretion), all classroom discussions, and a course booklet. If you bring a tape, we'll copy your jump to it free.
