Instructor certification course for those skydivers who want to get their Tandem Master
ratings and take first time skydivers for tandem jumps.

Prerequisites: Candidates must have a USPA coach rating or higher, have been in the sport of skydiving for over 3 years, have 500 sport parachute jumps, and hold an FAA Class 3 medical certificate or higher. The certificate must not expire during the year following the course. All pre course requirements of the USPA Tandem Proficiency Card must be completed prior to attending the course.

A word to those contemplating getting their ratings-
We have an outstanding instructional staff we have at Skydive Orange. Many new folks coming along through the training programs who will no doubt help to keep our standards high for the future and carry the SOI flame when they have the experience- those years go by quick when you are having fun skydiving, as do the hundreds and then thousands of jumps, so eventually they may qualify for a rating.
As the person in charge and in control of the student program at Skydive Orange, that puts a lot of responsibility on me in keeping the right people on our instructional staff. The possession of an instructional rating of any sort does not automatically mean you will be on staff here! I take the responsibility to our customer's safety seriously. And there are many other considerations involved as well, some not directly related to instructional abilities. It may be nothing more than my feeling that this person just won't fit in, I am not comfortable with them, or if I don't think a certain person is the right staff member for us, I will not to allow them to instruct here.
